This painting comes at a time when racism is out in the open, when some try to disguise it as something else, even tradition. I was born in Colombia, in a country where the worst conditions are experienced by those of African descent and their regions are the ones politicians forgot after elections. My heart fills with anger after coming to the understanding that the entire system was built to perpetuate this behaviour, no party is the answer, NO PARTY is the answer. My art strives to reflect the freedom to express those feelings and moods in a way that empowers instead of victimizing.
Love you all. Let's build the world we want.
